Middle School
Each Sunday after worship, middle schoolers are invited to Teen Time during the Sunday School hour from 10:45-11:45 a.m., our teens gather in the youth room for faith – filled discussions and activities. Our youth study the Bible, engage in service projects, serve the congregation and community through meals, Puppets and Pancakes, and intergenerational events. They have game days, learn to be leaders, assist the younger classes as well as sharing topical conversations around faith. Our community of church mentors as well as parents share in leading the sessions.
Additional special events for middle schoolers include: summer camp opportunities, lock-ins, fellowship events, Summer Stretch (service and fun), and retreats.
Also, students in grades 7-9 are invited to participate in Confirmation Ministry on most Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. during the school year. Confirmation allows students to dig deeper into their faith through Bible study, Luther’s Small Catechism, and exploring our neighbor’s faith and what we believe as Lutherans. Each spring, the group goes on field trips to experience some of the topics that have been discussed. Following our three years together, students will affirm the promises of Baptism that were made on their behalf in worship on the first Sunday in May.
